The Galway Film Fleadh 2020 has announced the World Premiere of short film REUNION in official competition.
REUNION stars Olwen Fouéré and John Travers, and is written and directed by Stephen Fingleton. The synopsis reads “A former gangster meets her estranged son at a wake.”.
REUNION reunites the creative partnership of Fingleton and Fouéré from THE SURVIVALIST; Fouére was nominated for an IFTA for Best Actress for her role in that film. REUNION was produced by Paul Kennedy (producer/director of MADE IN BELFAST) through his his boutique production company VILLAGE FILM. The Galway Fleadh is an Academy Award qualifying festival; Fingleton’s previous short film SLR screened at Galway and was long-listed for an Academy Award in 2015.
